Abstract

Changes in life in the development of science, technology and communication lately have a very rapid impact on the world of education, especially for students and PAK teachers in playing their role in carrying out their duties and responsibilities in the world of education. In this study, the author uses descriptive qualitative research methods through a field approach to determine the role of the teacher in shaping the character of class VIII students at One Roof Middle School Meukisi where it is known that students have bad characters, namely there are students who are not disciplined to come to school, still there are students who smoke at school and outside of school, there are still students who consume liquor, there are still students who like to fight with their friends, there are still students who are not polite to the teacher when speaking in harsh language with the teacher. The results of this study are the example of PAK teachers in shaping the character of students is very important for the future lives of students now and in the future as future generations for themselves, families, communities and even the nation and the State and the role of PAK teachers is very important in producing human resources. superior, qualified and able to compete in various fields of life.
